A dip in immortality06-16 February 2021

Curatorial Note

We as a body are the center of experiencing time. We become the subject, the drashta or the onlooker and the world around us becomes the object. In yogic terms, drashta indicates the Charulata Mukherjeequality and the capacity of the mind, which is imbued with awareness. As a drashta, we take a dip in the river and that moment becomes timeless. The river is colossal just like the eternal time in this metaphor. Thus, we experience immortality in this moment.

Every act of creation is sculpted in time and hence, the truthful representation of that pulse
makes it immortal. It is like the invisible hands of a potter who is creating, adding attributes and characterizing our existence. We are mere specks absorbed in it that evolve and erode with the flow. Every being or object will one day be consumed by the enormity of it but we have the ability to express over the inanimate objects, to represent the abstracts of aeon. One day this expression will also dissolve with time but our expressions, that are our marks within this spectrum, will stay in their own capacities.
