Title of Piece: ENTROPY-A
Duration: 4m 30s

Short Description
An audio-video artwork expressing the philosophical aspect of constant change, reflecting the uncertainty of the times we live upon. With its Greek prefix en-, meaning “within”, and the trop- root here meaning “change”, entropy signifies “change within”. These meaning is transmuted into artist’s imaginary scenery, collating the work into optical & auditory form.

Colour, composition, and motion have been embedded thoroughly throughout the piece, capturing a flow of balance within the ephemerality. Sound and rhythm have been synced with the visual elements to enhance the pulse, scale adjusted to tone of A (432 – 444 Hz) , widely heard frequency in our daily surroundings to our planetary resonance.

Entropy is a tendency of all things to go from order to disorder. In eastern philosophy it is explained as ‘impermanence’. The work exposes the inevitable fate among all materialistic beings, colliding into artistic harmony. A self-image of imaginary fireworks.

Title of Piece: MERCURIUS
Duration: 3m 00s

Short Description
An optical-sonic artwork to depict the primordial images of the inner space. A symbol uniting all the opposites were chosen to reflect the rapidly shifting paradigm. These phrases arose during the collaborative creative process;
“A world of endless death and renewal
A snake to symbolize the limit of material

A threshold of cognition
A fool deciphering the illusion

Origin, universe and body
Sun, moon and creator

Archetype, truth, and regression
Time, space and reincarnation

Mysterious synchronicity
Unexplained serendipity

Collinear time axis, Light and darkness
Inevitable coincidence, absolute incidence

Mercurius, the prima materia of the alchemy and unconscious”

Curatorial Note

#1 – ENTROPY-A
The oblivious may be hindered but is rigorously in motion juxtaposed beneath the inertial need of uniformity. But it is only in the phenomenal jerk of events when the unearthed spills and the humanity is caught unequipped. What looks like the force of nature, unhinges the flimsy, we believed to sustain. The prevalent forces are mistakenly thought to be missing until they present themselves once in a long time, in a life time. The artwork is a projection of entropy, the ultimate truth that calls for the very nature of flow, the only way to not break under its force. Much like the present pandemic that it is believed came in to set the incorrect handling of nature.  The buzzing work is engrossing, unwavering and reminds the enormous.

#2 – MERCURIUS
The illusionary could only be a play in the mind of an imaginary sea. The working truth is in the functioning of the perceived form. There’s humongous modelling and remodelling of shaping taking place to the spatial dance. The digital optical-sonic work helps imagine the snake dancing of the spatial bodies under the influence of a mysteriously rhythmic sound of Pungi. The feel is that of riding much to the edge of threshold, in the continued renewal of origination.
